“As a member of Congress, Rep. Dean Phillips received information about the government’s pandemic preparedness before that information was made public. Phillips then purchased stock in companies that would later benefit from the pandemic response and sold stock in companies that were negatively impacted by the government’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“While many Minnesotans were losing their jobs, businesses, and savings because of COVID-19; it appears that Phillips’ personal portfolio was growing.
“It’s alarming for any elected member of Congress to use their position for personal financial enrichment. Phillips owes Minnesotans in the third congressional district an explanation.”
