MN GOP Statement on MinnPost Poll

“We have long been saying Minnesota is winnable for President Trump and Jason Lewis for United States Senate this election cycle and the recent  MinnPost poll confirms that. Just four years ago, President Trump came within 1.5 points and won 78 of Minnesota’s 87 counties, showing shifting electoral demographic trends across our state.

“Senator Tina Smith’s vulnerability has been apparent all year as most polls show her below 50% and her stance on issues is not reflective of Minnesota’s voters. Polling has shown Jason Lewis constantly gaining on Smith as her numbers stagnate. Jason Lewis has traveled this state and reached out to millions of voters; while Tina Smith has tried to run a campaign entirely from within her home in the metro.

“Minnesotans are realizing that the Democrats are serious when they promise to raise taxes, increase regulations, and defund the police. Bad policy is not the way to win an election and not the way to govern our nation.”

MN GOP Statement on Dean Phillips’ Strategic Purchase of Stocks Amid Coronavirus Pandemic

“As a member of Congress, Rep. Dean Phillips received information about the government’s pandemic preparedness before that information was made public. Phillips then purchased stock in companies that would later benefit from the pandemic response and sold stock in companies that were negatively impacted by the government’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“While many Minnesotans were losing their jobs, businesses, and savings because of COVID-19; it appears that Phillips’ personal portfolio was growing.

“It’s alarming for any elected member of Congress to use their position for personal financial enrichment. Phillips owes Minnesotans in the third congressional district an explanation.”

MN GOP Statement on Qualls/Phillips Debate

“Congressman Dean Phillips continued his moderate charade in hopes of fooling the voters of Minnesota’s Third Congressional District.

“Dean Phillips promised to be bipartisan two years ago but he’s voted with super liberal Nancy Pelosi 100% of the time.

“He said that PACs are a “corrupting influence” yet he has his own PAC and his campaign has accepted over $100,000 in special interest PAC money.

“Dean Phillips mantra of ‘Everyone’s Invited’ sounds good; but he put action behind his words so that all residents in Minnesota’s Third Congressional District feel invited.”

MN GOP Statement on Participating in Democracy Safely

“In two weeks Minnesotans and Americans will head to the polls to decide the future path of our country.  We look forward to Minnesota voters participating in this momentous election in any way they feel best appropriate to exercise their voice and vote.

“COVID-19 has upended our country in many ways; and we’ve seen our state under severe government restrictions and limitations at the hand of one man, Governor Tim Walz, who continues to hold onto his Supreme powers, ignoring the three co-equal branches of government.

“If people can shop at Target, Costco, Byerlys & Lunds, fly on airplanes and take their kids to dance classes safely with masks, they can also vote safely with masks. It is up to each Minnesonta to decide the best route for their individual votes; whether it be early via absentee or in-person on November 3rd.

“As we enter the home stretch, we hope Minnesota’s Attorney General and Governor will stop using every mechanism of their offices to politicize the way people choose to vote and just accept that America is still a free and fair nation.  In 14-days we look forward to delivering President Trump four more years to keep our country’s foundation strong for generations to come.”

MN GOP Statement on Congressman Stauber & Quinn Nystrom’s Debates

“Tonight Congressman Pete Stauber twice showed the people of the Eighth Congressional District why he is one of the strongest freshman members of Congress and a great representative for the district.

“Congressman Stauber supports logging, mining, manufacturing, revitalizing the Iron Range and keeping Northern Minnesota economically strong into the future.

“On the other hand, Democrat Quinn Nystrom wants government to take over healthcare and supports a very socialist agenda, including the Green New Deal. Quinn’s quest to unseat Congressman Stauber will not go far as her views and policies do not represent the families in the eighth district.”

MN GOP Statement on Tina Smith’s Hypocrisy

“Today saw Democratic Senator Tina Smith jump on a flight to Washington after receiving a negative COVID test result.

“Two weeks ago Democrats criticized three Minnesota Republican Members of Congress for flying back from Reagan National to MSP Airport after receiving negative COVID tests and clearance from the House Doctor.

“The double standard, hypocrisy and continued politicization of COVID from Democrats is wrong.

“With two weeks until the election, we can only hope Tina Smith and the rest of her party will attempt to operate with some level of integrity.”

MN GOP Statement on Elizabeth Warren Visit

“While the Trump Campaign and MN GOP have canvassed this state for 18-months straight talking to voters in every corner of Minnesota; the Biden campaign believes sending in a far-left radical surrogate will win over the hearts and minds of voters.

“Elizabeth Warren represents a very small section of the Democrat Party, led by AOC, Ilhan Omar and the Squad and is more unlikeable than Hillary Clinton; who Minnesota voters nearly rejected four-years ago.

“President Trump remains focused on the Great American Comeback and leading our country out of this pandemic, while Democrats continue to hamper America’s forward success.

“In 16-days voters around the country will speak to stand behind the American Dream and deliver our President four more years.”

MN GOP Statement on Biden/Emhoff Visit

“With over 800,000 absentee ballots submitted 19 days from Election Day, Jill Biden and Doug Emhoff’s visit to Minnesota will have the same impact as Biden’s past two visits – not much.

“The operation the Trump Campaign and Republican Party of Minnesota have been running statewide, includes more than four million direct voter contacts and a concentrated effort to turn out the vote.

“Joe Biden’s campaign started late, is not gaining traction and the enthusiasm gap continues to be pronounced.

“In 19 days we are confident Minnesota voters will stand with our President’s policies of putting America first and keeping our country strong for a generation to come.”

The Never-ending Hypocrisy of Dean Phillips

“Dean Phillips lectures Minnesotans about the ‘corrupting influence of PACs’ and claims the campaign finance system rewards the ‘relentless pursuit of money.’ What Dean Phillips doesn’t tell Minnesotans is that his Campaign Manager led a SuperPAC, Kitchen Table Conversations, during the 2020 Democratic Presidential Primary which could spend ‘unlimited amounts of money’ to help a preferred candidate’s White House bid and raised nearly $3 million to do just that.”

“Dean Phillips also fails to tell Minnesotans that the top recipient for payments from the Kitchen Table Conversations SuperPAC was United Strategies LLC, a political consulting group founded and operated by the same Campaign Manager that founded and operated the SuperPAC. United Strategies received $84,000 for various ‘media,’ ‘fundraising,’ and ‘strategic’ consulting services over a four week period in February and March 2020. In short, the campaign manager was paid $21,000 a week to consult himself.”

“While Dean Phillips and his campaign manager likely had a ‘Kitchen Table Conversation’ about the SuperPAC, Dean has yet to explain how he can talk about the ‘relentless pursuit of money’ and the ‘corrupting influence of PACs’ from one side of his mouth, while also giving the okay to his Campaign Manager to pay himself $21,000 a week from the SuperPAC he created.”

“Dean Phillips should acknowledge his hypocrisy at a public forum where ‘everyone’s invited’ and explain to voters how he can live with the clear duplicity between his rhetoric, his actions, and the actions of his campaign staff. While there, Dean can also explain why he broke his pledge not to self-finance his 2018 campaign by spending $1.3 million in the last month of the race, why he broke his pledge not to vote for Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the House by voting for her with his very first vote, and why he broke his pledge to be a moderate voice in Congress by voting with extreme agenda of Nancy Pelosi 99% of the time and Ilhan Omar 94% of the time.”
